A FIFA-tested turf system for full-size football pitches
Leon Grass is our long-pile football turf, produced at the Ekip Grass facility in Dilovası, Kocaeli. Two PE monofilament yarns in RAL 6003 and RAL 6025 are tufted together in straight rows, which gives the pitch a natural two-tone green. Each fibre has a spine (central rib) profile, 300 µm thick and 1.40 mm wide.
Leon is supplied as a complete system rather than carpet alone: the turf, the EPDM performance infill, the silica sand stabilising infill and the KN 70 jointing adhesive are the same components that were sent to the laboratory for FIFA testing. Installing the tested combination is what keeps a new pitch close to the values in the report.
Leon or Leon Ultra?
Both versions share the same pile height, tuft density, backing and infill. The difference is the yarn weight and the FIFA level the system has passed.
| Leon | Leon Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Yarn decitex | 12,000 dtex (2 × 6,000) | 13,000 dtex (2 × 6,500) |

Installation
Leon is laid on a prepared, drained base. Roll joints are bonded with Ekip Spor KN 70 adhesive on PVC jointing tape (160 g per metre in the tested system). Silica sand is spread first to stabilise the pile, then EPDM granules, leaving about 14 mm of free pile above the infill. Line markings use the white version of the yarn, listed by FIFA as Leon Grass white.
Installation is part of our certified scope in Türkiye; for projects abroad, installation and site works are agreed project by project.
